Rules and punishments

Following is a list of violations of the game rules, and the resulting punishments. Some offenses may result in temporary suspension of posting privileges, or a jail term. Game staff reserves the right to interpret these laws in certain situations.

Flooding

This is not tolerated at any level and will result in punishment.

Same IP Activity

Players may not engage in same IP trading, this includes sending of anything between persons on the same network EVER. Players on the same networks are not allowed to enter partnerships together.

Middleman Activity

If you are found being a middleman or found to be using a middle man you and the middleman will be jailed.

Multiple accounts

You are only allowed one account.

Player harassment

Do not publicly harass players or continually attack their character. Do not abuse the messaging system to harass players.

Staff harassment

Any complaints against staff will be presented in a clear manner, free of any profanity or personal attacks. Slanderous/personal attacks/profane communications against staff members will not be tolerated, and will result in the offending comments removed, and a 10 day jail sentence for the offender.

Scripts/Continual Connections

Do not use bots or macros. If your character is online you should be the one clicking around. Failure to comply will result in dungeon time.

Account Sharing

You should only log into your own account, and not share your password with another player. You should not babysit anyone else's account.

Game bug abuse

Report all bugs found and avoid the temptation to abuse them, abuse WILL result in punishment.

Account Ownership

Keep your email and password secure and change your password often, since you are responsible for all the actions of your account.

Repeat offenders

If you continue to break the rules you will continue to be punished without sympathy

Loss of items due to hacking

You will not be given back any items unless the loss was caused by a developer error.

Lost accounts due to Hacking

Your account will be returned to you if you can verify your identity. No items or gold will be returned.

Player placed images

Do not place illegal, offensive or copyrighted images on this website.

Player-Staff interaction

Both parties must be respectful. Staff are human and may make mistakes. Do not use this as an excuse to abuse staff. Staff in turn will not be allowed to abuse their power to punish players for illegitimate reasons.

Staff obligations to players

Staff are obliged to respond to all questions and requests by players in a respectful manner.

Guild Descriptions

Guild descriptions must not be offensive to any members of society.

Scamming

In Avalon scamming is an illegal and punishable offence. Scammed items and gold will be removed.

Password scavenging

Do not ask other users for their password, under any circumstances.
